Management consulting firm MediaLink has named Emma Mondolino as evp, head of marketing. Mondolino will be based in New York, reporting to chief business officer Martin Rothman.
In the newly created role, Mondolino will establish and oversee an in-house marketing function that looks to further elevate the company’s expertise and understanding of the market.
“Emma has a distinguished history of building collaborative teams at fast-growing companies that can bridge sales and marketing, create award-winning campaigns, and drive results. She’s the ideal candidate to build this function for us,” said Rothman in a statement.
A spokesperson for MediaLink told ADWEEK that the company has fundamentally transformed as a business over the last few years. The nature of the work it does for the C-suite has significantly expanded in scope and complexity, as has its senior client base.
MediaLink created the evp, head of marketing role to tell richer, more targeted stories in its offerings to brands, media and technology companies, investors, and retailers. Mondolino’s skillset working with businesses in growth mode fit the bill well.
Prior to MediaLink, Mondolino served as head of Nextdoor Create, Nextdoor’s business marketing and brand strategy team. Earlier in her career, she was an inaugural member of Twitter’s brand strategy team and later worked on Pinterest’s marketing and sales teams.
“In my years at companies like Nextdoor, Twitter, and Pinterest during times of hyper growth, I was tasked with connecting B2B and B2C marketing to create messaging that resonated with diverse audiences. MediaLink is unique in that while our audience may be the C-suite, it spans a wide range of roles across that executive level, in varied types of organizations and verticals. I know my experience in building bridges between multiple constituencies will serve our business well,” Mondolino told ADWEEK.
Mondolino’s strategic campaign work has garnered numerous accolades, including being honored among AdExchanger’s 2023 Top Women in Adtech.
A significant focus of Mondolino’s work will be on awareness of MediaLink’s advisory offerings, which include: marketing transformation, retail media advisory, growth strategy, private equity advisory, data and technology solutions, and leadership and industry marketing.
“MediaLink has many lines of business that work in concert with one another, and my primary focus is creating awareness of this dynamic. Everyone knows MediaLink—however, our work is complex, and there is much to be told around how we can help solve our clients’ biggest challenges,” said Mondolino. “My goal is to arm our advisory teams with the tools and campaigns to make that happen.
